Convenience (MTL Novel) Chapter 41

C41

Bianca had no idea Sauveur would be embarrassed. And she looked around the stable casually. All the horses in front of him were very big. Bianca ordered, lifting her chin.

-Choose one.

“W-wait a minute. Does the lady want to ride a horse?

Sauveur asked again, confused. He was going against etiquette, but no one pointed it out. It was because Sauveur was not the only one who was perplexed by this situation.

"Can you ride a horse, ma'am?"

Yvonne asked, her eyes widening, and Gaspard frowned.

Bianca's face flushed as Yvonne, Gaspard and Sauveur looked at her with a mixture of puzzlement and doubt.

Bianca herself knew that she was not an active person, but she was too much. Bianca coughed heavily. She then cleared her throat and answered solemnly.

“I will learn from now on.

"Oh no, why all of a sudden?" The lady also has a carriage. No, she doesn't even date in the first place.

At Bianca's calm demeanor, Sauveur began to speak gibberish, forgetting manners.

Everything he said was true, probably because he had just made up his mind, but to be honest, it was pretty impolite to say it out loud in front of her.

Yvonne's eyes raised in a triangle at Sauveur's attitude. Whether Sauveur was a knight or a vassal,

she intended to scold him if Bianca showed any signs of discomfort.

But Bianca shrugged as if she didn't care. He was discourteous, but not to the point of being rude.

Sauveur did not blame Bianca for running around like Vincent, nor did he try to insult Bianca with other intentions. It was easy to see that it was a comment he threw out without thinking.

For that reason, it would be ridiculous for him to get angry about it.

Bianca said in a monotone voice, as if reciting tonight's menu.

“Well, you never know what will happen. There's nothing wrong with learning, right?

"It's dangerous, ma'am.

Yvonne eagerly dissuaded her. Gaspard didn't seem to agree either, as his lips were stiff.

There are many noble ladies who learn to ride horses, so she couldn't understand why she couldn't do it.

Bianca's lips curved.

Of course, even if they said no, Bianca had no intention of listening. They had no right to stop her.

Seeing the anxious and worried faces of Yvonne and Gaspard, Sauveur realized that Bianca's words about horseback riding were not just passing. He swallowed hard, but her voice trembled and she stuttered. Sauveur asked the question again with difficulty.

"Do-do you really want to ride a horse?"

"I'm not talking nonsense. Well, I'm thinking of quitting if it doesn't fit my physical fitness.

As if laughing at Sauveur's trembling heart, Bianca replied sarcastically. She didn't have the guts to waste time doing things that shouldn't be done.

That said, there was no reason not to start. It's better to try and give up than to regret not doing it. At least in the future, you won't cling to an unpleasant regret.

But things were not as simple as Bianca thought. Sauveur's head went round and round. Bianca didn't seem to be very athletic. She was very weak. Everyone at Castle Arno knew that Bianca had been locked in her room for nearly ten years.

Walking was his greatest exercise, so he didn't know what would happen if he suddenly rode a horse. It would be the same no matter how gentle a horse Sauveur chose.

If Bianca fell from her horse…. He doesn't know what decision Zachary would make, but it was clear that Bianca's family, the Blancheforts, would not let him go.

Not wanting to lose his neck due to Bianca's stubbornness, Sauveur ultimately decided to use Zachary as an excuse. In fact, that was also his assumption.

"If you're going to ride a horse, you have to get the Count's permission, but..."

-Certain.

Bianca was more docile than she thought.

Sauveur looked at Bianca in amazement.

As much as she insisted on riding a horse, her current attitude was not like her. The original Bianca would have raised her voice with reasons like, "Why should she get her permission?"

Sauveur looked at Gaspard and asked why Bianca was doing this all of a sudden, but Gaspard didn't answer.

“Did you eat something bad? No, did you eat first? Is it because he didn't eat anything? Yes, it must be that. He doesn't even have the energy to argue…”

Of course, a person without energy would not go horseback riding, but Sauveur worked hard to find reasons. But a number of more shocking things happened that made Bianca's complacent resignation laughable.

“Anyway, I've caused you a lot of trouble. If I learn to ride a horse, we'll run into each other often. So I look forward to your kind cooperation.

Bianca turned away without remorse, thinking that staying here wouldn't make any difference.

Taptap, the footsteps walking through the barn were light and unstoppable. Yvonne followed immediately, while Gaspard touched Sauveur on her shoulder and followed Bianca.

Sauveur sat expressionless, reflecting on what had happened. Bianca's words flashed through his mind. He wouldn't be so dizzy even if she drank her fill of alcohol.

So “that” lady came to the dirty stable full of horse manure, looked around, said that she would learn to ride, and that it was okay to get the Earl's permission, and even regretted putting her through so much hardship?

Bianca's stay in the stable was brief, but for that brief moment, Bianca swung Sauveur with all her might. Like lightning falling from the sky.

Still incredulous, Sauveur blinked. He felt as if he had been tricked by a fairy.

* * *

“Maybe it's not as bad as you think.

Sauveur clenched his chin and murmured. Sauveur's place was Robert's office.

Robert, who was a bit annoyed at Sauveur, who came to visit him out of the blue and muttered only incomprehensible sounds, asked nervously.

-Who?

-Mrs.

-What?

The papers Robert was reviewing fell onto the desk. Gaspard escaped with the lady's escort and shared his share of the work with Sauveur, so there was a lot of work. That's why he is listening to nonsense now. LOL.

Still, he can't let the Earl down since he gave him that task. If it is recomposed and is thorough….

—No, well, the lady wasn't such a bad person. We were able to communicate.

Sauveur provided an explanation. His confident answers forced Robert to realize that what he had heard was not nonsense. It was then that Robert realized that the strange and amazing vision he had seen a few days before was true.

Was it a couple of days ago? As he walked down the hall because he had a report to give to the Earl, Robert glanced at the noise coming through the window.

It was the garden where Bianca used to walk often. What was the lady doing now? Robert frowned and leaned out the window.

What is going on there?!

As Robert expected, the ones in the garden were Bianca, Yvonne, and Gaspard. They were resting on a long bench at the side of the garden.

Is she openly lounging while he works hard? Next to her was also a snack.

But there was also an unexpected person there, and it was Sauveur, who was now in front of him. He didn't know what they were talking about, but from afar, they looked very familiar. At that moment, Robert narrowed his eyes, wondering if he was seeing wrong.

Upon closer inspection, it seemed that Sauveur was a little excited. As soon as he was relieved, other concerns shot through Robert's chest. Maybe something will happen. But since Gaspard is still there…. As much as he disliked Bianca, she was the countess. Robert felt a pain in his chest.

At that moment, Sauveur suddenly approached the bench where Bianca was sitting.

A choked sound rose to the tip of Robert's throat.
